StimVet 4000 is a device for muscle and analgesic electrostimulation of small animals and horses. In rehabilitation and veterinary physical therapy, electric current is used for two fundamental purposes: to reduce the perception of pain and to stimulate excitable tissues (muscles). The analgesic action is promoted by electricity through membrane hyperpolarization by means of the Gate control theory and by hyperemia and the increase of morphine-like mediators.
