Liquid chlorine is widely used in swimming pools with automatic dispensers.
It has a lower concentration than granular chlorine as it is already diluted.
This, along with balancing the pH value, is the most important treatment for a swimming pool. Adequate, frequent, and consistent chlorination is essential for safe water disinfection. A correct pH value (7.2-7.4) and a suitable free chlorine level (0.6-1.0 ppm) will guarantee pure, healthy, and crystal-clear water.
Depending on the pH value and the organic matter present in the water, the added chlorine will tend to form combined chlorine (chloramines), the real culprit behind both the "chlorine smell" and the burning sensation in the eyes and mucous membranes. This unpleasant problem occurs primarily when the chlorine dosage is insufficient; in fact, to eliminate it, a shock dose of chlorine is most often necessary.
Proper chlorination requires effective and specific products, even if they have different physical characteristics. The choice of both product and chlorination system can be based on both the type of pool and the filtration system.
Stabilized liquid chlorine with algaecide sanitizes and prevents algae growth in pool water. Does not release cyanuric acid.
LIQUID CHLORINE
SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE 14/15% WITH HIGH STABILITY
Applications: Concentrated liquid chlorine for disinfecting swimming pool water. This product is highly stable against photolysis and evaporation. In addition to disinfection, it also performs an oxidizing function, thus eliminating non-filterable organic substances.
Use and dosage: CLOREX 14 can be used manually or mechanically, by means of a dosing pump connected to a product storage tank.
Dosage: Maintain the free chlorine level between 0.8 and 1 ppm (5.4 to 6.7 g/m3 of Clorex 14). For shock treatments (break point), 5 to 10 ppm of free chlorine depending on the concentration of combined chlorine (34 to 68 g/m3 of Clorex 14).
Consumption : The consumption of free chlorine can vary from 1 to 3 ppm/day (from 6.7 to 20.1 g/m3 per day of Clorex 14) depending on the temperature, the nature of the make-up water and the frequency of use of the system.
Composition: Sodium hypochlorite concentration 14-15%.
