The Smith Machine is a machine composed of a guided barbell connected at both ends to two steel bars that act as guides during vertical axis pull/press exercises.The movement of the balance wheel follows an angle of 7°, which is the natural trajectory of movement for Olympic lifting pressing or squatting. There are also safety blocks along the axis of the upright onto which the barbell can be hooked with a simple rotation of the wrists.
