The operation of the product is very simple: by hydrating, it increases its volume, at this point the hydrated molecules bind together giving rise to reticulated flakes that settle on the sand of the filter, increasing its filtering power: therefore, the capacity of the sand filter to retain even the smallest impurities increases.

Once upon a time this operation was carried out with aluminium sulphate; the effectiveness of the product was very sensitive to the pH value, proving particularly valid at very low pH; today research and experimentation have allowed us to find different products that have constant effectiveness within a wide pH spectrum (6.5/8), obtaining the maximum result between pH 6.9/7.4.

The use of flocculant is only necessary with sand filtration systems.

Flocculation is used to eliminate colloidal particles that are difficult to settle or filter.

By adding flocculant to the pool, the “polluting” particles aggregate and therefore increase their size and weight.
To remove it, you then proceed to filter the water; it is best to use a specific pool cleaning robot.

ELIMINATION OF CLOUDNESS

Pour 400/500 g of diluted product into the furthest skimmer for every 100 m³ of pool water capacity.
Perform a backwash every 4/5 hours of filtration and perform a new flocculation each time until the desired clarity is obtained.

PREVENTION OF CLOUDNESS OR STRENGTHENING OF THE FILTER BED

Pour 200-250 g of diluted product into the furthest skimmer for every 100 m³ of pool water capacity.
Flocculate every time you backwash the filter.

WARNING : an excess of flocculant product can cause the cementation of the sand which will no longer be able to filter. Therefore, scrupulously follow the recommended dosages.
