This device allows the mobilization of the knee and hip through the flexion-extension movement. The operation is determined by a direct current motor controlled by an electronic card with a microprocessor; externally there is a fixed keyboard, from which it is possible to program each function, and a mobile keyboard that allows the patient to stop and start the movement, using the STOP and START keys that have the same function as those on the fixed keyboard. On the upper part of the device there is the limb positioning area that is adjustable with respect to the different dimensions of the same; for the adjustment it is necessary to know the length of the patient's limb, measured from the greater trochanter to the malleolus.
