How Does the Water Rower Work?

Self-adjusting resistance

WaterRower's patented Water Flywheel naturally develops self-adjusting resistance.

Rowing and other natural aerobic exercises (such as swimming, running, cycling, etc.) are not resistance-based exercises.

Rowing and other natural aerobic exercises are about the work done to move you (and your equipment) through your average effort. Whether that's a boat or a swimmer through the water, a runner or a cyclist through the air.

The only resistance present is the effect of aerodynamic drag acting on you and your equipment. And very importantly, this drag is directly proportional to the average speed at which you are moving.

For example, when you row, the work you do overcomes aerodynamic resistance and acts on the boat, allowing the boat to move at a certain speed. When you increase the effort, the resistance you have to overcome increases and the boat goes faster.

Remember, the boat does not ask you for resistance, but you ask the boat for motion, and it moves at a speed equal to the aerodynamic resistance you manage to overcome.

The limit to your rowing speed is you, your ability to produce movement and overcome aerodynamic resistance. This varies from person to person: young or old, big or small, male or female, trained or untrained.

This is the natural self-regulation of the WaterRower and natural aerobic exercises.

Quick Select Function, the most common applications are accessible by simply pressing a button and using the appropriate button to navigate.

Auto Memory Function automatically stores the sequences of the last 9 exercises to find them quickly

Auto-preview function When programs are stored they are previewed in their location in memory, or when they are loaded ready for use, the modes are displayed by scrolling .

Zone Function: Set your desired intensity, stroke rate or heart rate zone and you will be notified when you are above or below this zone.

Zone Bar Function: When you are inside your zone the zone bar will tell you where you are within your zone

Training Distance Function: Set a desired Distance and return to zero, the average training statistics will be shown after completion along with the Total Distance .

Workout Duration Function: Set the desired Duration and return to zero, the average workout statistics will be shown after completion along with the total duration

Interval Training Function: Set up to 9 intervals (distance and duration) divided by the rest of the Duration. Receive signals and statistics at the end of the interval

PC Interface: Connect the Display to your PC and access a wide range of third-party and open source programs .

Store with ease

The WaterRower can be conveniently stored away when not in use.

It takes up no more space than an armchair.

When you're done with your workout you can simply lift it up from one end and store it conveniently against a wall.

The low position of the Water Flywheel allows for maximum stability even vertically.

The trolley's internal wheels make it easy to move.
